Description:This one is in Taos and features Dustin Welch and Eliza Gilkyson

Come join Kevin Welch, Dustin Welch and Eliza Gilkyson for their third Annual Songwriter’s Camp in the magic mountain town of Taos, New Mexico July 3-6, 2014.

Designed to inspire writers of all levels to break out of the mundane and into a flow of creative craftsmanship, this course will emphasize the organic nature of songwriting, focusing on the artistic and exploratory side of the process. Participants will get the chance to work through problems or blocks, gain awareness of the process, and get personalized feedback from the pros.

Participants will spend the days writing and composing together with direct hands-on input from Kevin, Eliza and Dustin. The group will gather for late night jam sessions and chatting about the day’s accomplishments and experiences, and the workshop will culminate in a live house concert.

The workshop sessions will be held at Casa de Musica, Eliza’s beautiful historic adobe home in Arroyo Seco, just a few miles north of the Town of Taos, just a 4 minute drive (or short bike ride) to the village where there are a variety of restaurants (healthy vegan to full menu options), coffeeshops, nightlife, lodging, and fun shopping. The town of Taos with all amenities, including a large health food store, is 15 minutes away. Taos Pueblo, home of the Tiwa Pueblo Nation, welcomes visitors all summer (http://taos.org/art/historic-landmarks?/item/1/Taos-Pueblo).
